Yup was great to meet you all, I had an absolute blast! apart from the achey butt there were no negatives about the whole trip I don't reckon, except perhaps Mom flashing me her knickers today in the cafe... :P

Congratulations to the riders who completed their first tour. Now y'all can spend the coming crappy winter evenings planning your first South Island trip next summer.

Sorry ... we have decided to close all three of our very bad roads for the next summer to expedite repairs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

See you all in the summer of 2015 ... maybe ...

Thanks Maha and Mom for organizing the trip and keeping everyone on target! I had a huge blast this weekend. Met a lot of really cool people. My ass feels like its spent the weekend in a Turkish Prison, but it was well worth it.

Home now, all safe and sound. I'll get around to having a look at the (minimal) photos tonight maybe. Then do some research on suspension spring rates......

    Good trip (as always ).

Just under 600km for me. From brand new tire with chicken strips the size of Africa to today having very small chicken strips, fair to say that tire's scrubbed in

Camping went well. My bike is half road bike, half dirt bike, half tent. Do the math on that!

I might of tried to cuddle the bike a few times..... Oil on my sleeping bag

Thanks to whoever left me a flower on my bed/tarp.

Mt Messenger is definitely on the to do again list.

Well I feel a wimp only doing 450 kms yesterday.....but it was more fun and more challenging than just breezing down main roads munching the k's. I reckon that the k's through Awakhino and over Mount Messenger should count double or treble for the newer riders.
