Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??
sidecars at paeroa all good, 16 on the grid. adam & stu won both, aarron & denny, & Baz & robbie were up there as well followed by burt & Max, lawrances broke a chain, tracey & Jo raced with no fairing after hitting bails in practise, the reid/ prentice bike went upside down in race 2, pate & crackers blew engine, good to see alex from S.I racing,
The shit is....1, Adam /Stu
2, Aaron/Dennis
3, Baz/Robbie
4, Burt/Max
5, Tracey/Jo
6, Des/Warren
Can't remember how the rest panned out but it was Adam/Stu a master class easily in front and good close racing for the next three placings. Repeat positions for race two.
In the classics Me and Jo got two 3rds on the Matchy with Johny B/Rat on the Guzzi in a class of their own as usual way out front (my missus suggested to JB that we swap rigs) with us having a good scrap with Jason/Bryce for second. Kieth on the Harley was 4th and Willy/Julie behind them...pretty sure it was the same order for our second race.
A good day had by most on tricycles but marred by a tragedy in one of the early practice sessions for the two wheelers![]()
haha, yip!
It has a BMW rear wheel bearing though... thought sidecarbob might like that part of it a little bit..
Cheers! Back in Dunedin for a few days to sort out the uni thing, get to graduate in a couple of months! yipee. I mean aw.. will have to find a job
Will be back in ChCh soon once rear shock is finished to reassemble - Will find out the go with my caliper when Malcolm texts me up.. hoping they can just clean up the wilwood but if not will make a decision on replacment - cheers for the links too
Paeroa was bloody good to watch - Was a little disappointed in getting in and out of my leathers a couple of times with hopes of racing - First I was hoping to swing on a F2 bike which I was excited about, got suited up and hopped on the bike to see how it felt in the pits but then the rider decided he wasn't keen on having someone who hasn't done Paeroa before (virgin laps were about to begin and then 2 practice sessions.. oh well, couldn't argue with him) he ended up not even racing and Gordy and Tina were gonna have at with that bike but also didn't pan out.
So I put my shorts n tshirt back on then Darren comes up and asks if I want to go out and swing on his bike - Yip keen!!, back into my leathers.. got on the bike engine running, clutch in, click it into gear. Crunch! bike lurched forward and stalled - clutch didn't work. I had this problem with Agip bike before and just rode without a clutch and got it rolling, but nah the rider wasn't keen. Anyway, I jacked the bike up with Darren and fiddled around with it and got the clutch working for him. Then was asked if I wanted to ride the bike - YIP! I sure did.. Back into my leathers and gear, handed my license in and signed my name up. Sadly as we were going to line up on the dummy grid I was denied again and told the original rider was going to do it again and was kicked off the bike. So f*ck it, back into my civy clothes and off to wander around and watch the racing instead. The bike I was going to pilot ended up crashing and flipping..
The racing was great to watch though, I was pretty jealous not to be out there. Classics looked great, The Guzzi miles ahead of the rest, I thought the moderns were a bit closer, Unsworth did pull the usual lead but there was bloody good battle for the next 3/4 positions. Was great to watch.
Glad there was a south island outfit there too, Alex and Glen Macdonald going hard on their old long bike running old tyres (saving goodies for nats) and looked to be having lots of fun if not battling with the streets a bit - bike looked like a handful! They did well surviving the day.
Very much looking forward to Wangas this year and Paeroa next year and hope to have my bike there and running well for both.
