"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

i think the Hondas may have their turn at the top as the best package out of the box this year .
Casey's gone, Merv - you take your hand off it now.
The fact is that Honda gets their own way most of the time due to their dominance in the manufacturers association.
Almost all of the Formula changes that Stoner whined about were either driven or rubber stamped by Honda.
The tyres were down to a vote by the riders, and guess what?
Only two (Pedrosa and Stoner) voted against them.
my point is that it seems that such is the knife edge these bikes operate at that Honda and Yamaha seem to so often go year by year when one bike starts out slightly better than the other...I dont know say if Honda worked hard to totally eliminate last years problems(probably yes) or if yamah hasnt dome much to last years bike(unlikely?),or maybe made a tweak thought desireable which has gone slightly too far in some aspect
Sheesh Oscar...you're starting to sound as much of a stuck record as myself! And of course Stoner and Pedrosa were the only ones complaining about the tyres not working for their factory Hondas. They were the only two going fast enough to find their short comings on the Honda. Duh.
Agree crasher he is a stuck record, and Oscar did your buddy Mike the Yamaha man race director explain why they changed the weight limit after Nakamoto had his bikes built properly to spec.
Cheers
Merv
