We have a few similar motorists down this way. Not many motorways though. So with the local terrain ... overtaking can be fun in places, cars just don't have a chance to stop you. You're passed and gone before they realize you're coming.

Smile ... but keep your head. Get mad and your beaten.

And then wave and smile as you pass ... that really pisses them off.

I believe the problem you describe is called BCSD, as in Big Car Small Dick. Often accompanied by said person being a member of the Mile High Club, solo aviators division. Does that clear it up for you?

But don't worry, most bike riders will experience this annoying trait at some point, and most Harley riders will have heard about it

Almost as silly as the tintop wankers who try to close the lane gap on the motorway heading into town in the morning crawl as bikers trundle thru. Must really piss them off when I move my big red truck onto the shoulder to give the riders a bit of room

driven a few. not owned one. One of my mates is a fan of the so called luxury brands. Fun fact: Audi A4/A6 is functionally equivalent to a Subaru Impreza/Legacy, except the Subie is substantially cheaper, more reliable and cheaper in the total cost of ownership.

I say it again: you'd be a mug to buy a european car. You have one dont you? a Jap import, cloth seat, steel wheel, 230000km BMW 318i that you think is awesome. After your Trabant, it probably is.

Except I'd avoid a Subaru as well... The Europeans aren't always more expensive part for part, but on the balance of odds, probably the TCO is higher for them.

    Don't call me a mug you C****T!

    How many letters was that?

Seriously, had BMW's a while now, reliable as anything, super cheap parts, easy to spanner on, nice to drive. Don't see the issue meself.

Audi drivers, now theres a bastard sort. About 5 people a week park in the handicap spot outside my wife's shop. Almost always an Audi. No shit, they just don't give a toss.

Wrong. A NZ New, cloth seat, alloy wheel, 270,000km BMW 320i E30, that is awesome. And broken, but you get rust in a 1985 anything, even more so if it's Japanese. I've also owned a Subaru Legacy and it cost me $3k in maintenance in the first year. the BMW has cost me $500 in the past 3.

BMW parts on the whole can be had cheaper than toyota parts if you know what you are doing and where to look, and they can be just as reliable if they are serviced regularly. Like any good tool, look after it and it will last.

Also, never had a Trabant. Oh and the BMW cost $1200 to buy, so compared to my Subaru it was cheaper, more reliable, and cheaper in the total cost of ownership. And lasted longer too. It's a 1985, the Subaru was a 1994 and was de-registered about 3 weeks after I sold it.

Edit: Oh, and not a single piece of trim in it rattles. Can't really say that about almost anything Japanese. Or Korean. Or Australian.
    Yeah, nah.

Maybe if it's some poxy A6 wagon...try that with an RS6 and the ZZR1200 would get a spanking.

I must be a cunt...I love Audi's and when I had a modded V8 S4 had no problems overtaking slow moving vehicles, bikes or cars. Lining up an RS4 now...will be doing more of the same. It's simple road courtesy anyway...if you're a slower vehicle, keep left. I am sick to death of those cunts out there who think that it is their God given right to clog up an overtaking lane (or the right hand lane of a motorway) at 95kph or overtake a 10km long truck up an overtaking lane at 101kph and not allow anyone else behind them to make it passed the slower moving vehicle.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

A few years back a mate of mine had an Evo 5 or 6 and thought he was quick in it. Coming home one day from visiting a mate who lived in a very quite, remote rural area we decided to have a bit of a play...he in the Evo and me on a K5 GSXR 600. I could keep him in the corners and eat him in the straights...so much fun. Not very PC to do these days though.

    Obviously their handicap is "mentally"...
