Suspension setup evening, Hamilton (6 September)

2 weeks back we hosted a suspension setup evening at The Vault in Auckland, open to post classic road racers, road racers in general, trackday riders and anyone interested. It was a great success

The idea is to help riders and their mechanics / helpers to have a much better understanding of machine setup. Selection of correct springing, sag measurements and variables. How to make reasoned adjustment decisions, setting the clickers, what feels right, what doesn't. Limitations, suspension technology, open forum questions etc. It doesn't matter what suspension you are running, all questions are good questions.

Following on, the next SUSPENSION SETUP EVENING will be hosted by the Hamilton Motorcycle Club on Friday September 6th, kicking off at 7pm sharp. $10 at the door which covers my costs and hopefully something useful left over for the club.

Shane Laurie ( Rocketfish ) will follow this post with venue details and how to get there. Numbers at the door will be limited so please register your interest with Shane sooner rather than later

( If other clubs / organisations are interested in having their own suspension setup evenings please e-mail me sales@kss.net.nz

Well Rabid Tiler, I regret to inform you that you blessed him with a 100% fuck up - his first name is Shayne....

I should have stuck with my first plan, to the effect ''a small person with lefty views will.......''

Anyway, we already have quite a number already for this suspension evening via other media and word of mouth, so be in quick.

Really disappointed I can't make that. Any other day I could rearrange things but not Friday 6th September

Ok, please register your interest with Shayne/ Shane Laurie / Lawrey / Lawry when he posts. I could be brutal ( and in many ways justifiably so ) in saying that such an evening is only available to those who purchase suspension components locally! But no, this is an exercise in helping people in general to best understand setup and to ask questions

Note, this suspension evening is road / trackday / road race specific. No puddle jumping content as its really a seperate subject and a different group of people. We can do a seperate venue and evening for that code at some stage in the future
