    Your worst boss?

Please share your worst or interesting employer/boss stories.

I’m pretty lucky currently and have a decent boss. But I’ve had some shockers. I used to work in recruitment in London and that attracted (and promoted) some real assholes. I started at a new desk and every time a new job/client got called in, my boss would keep it (she was supposed to help get me started). Anyway, kept a tally and of the 25 jobs that got called in over a 3 month period she kept 23 of them. Throw in daily micromanagement, impossible KPIs and condescension and it got pretty unpleasant. I eventually built up a bigger desk than my boss and got my revenge by simply out-performing her. To top it all off she was one of the best looking women I’ve ever met (just like a young Jane Seymour). It’s really hard to hate someone you really want to bone.

Interestingly, of the 4 recruitment agencies I worked for over there 3 folded after the crunch.

A farmer by the name of Bill Wynn out the back of Port Waikato when I was about 15, same meal every night for the 3 months I managed to put up with him for. He had a Honda CT110 but made me walk to get the sheep or cattle in, because he was saving the petrol. Only got paid twice the whole time I was there. Guy was fuckin mental, I put his old D4 dozer over a bluff in the end, cos he said he was going to hit me with a fence batten. Stupid old prick.

I had a boss who wouldn't let me work as many public holidays as I wanted for the extra money and day-and-a-half, even though nobody else wanted to and I'm supporting my family singlehandedly...

Morbidly obese female HR manager who decided to give me a lecture on masturbation (I wasn't the one who got busted jerking off at work).

That was the most uncomfortable conversation, evar!!!1

The ones who are dumb enough to listen to the corrosive employees.
Never had an evil boss. Just dumb ones. Quite a few seemed to be hollow management who had the strings pulled by others (often other employees - not higher management)

Corrosive employees are the worst. Depressed mother fuckers who always will drag the motivation down.

When I was about 16 I worked for a dairy farmer who was pissed by lunch time most days.

I didn't care about that much but he did stupid shit like chucking milk weights at the cows in the shed when he was in a bad mood.

One day he chucked one at a cow that had pissed him off an the fucking thing missed but almost hit me.

I got a bit lippy about it and he threatened to belt me one, that produced an instant invite to get on with it but he lost interest so I told him to milk his own fuckin' cows and I went for an early tea.

Next day the cunt sacked me once he had his Mrs with him for protection.

Worked for one bloke seemed sane at first but if you upset him he wouldn't talk to you for weeks, that made for some quiet days and before long I was starting to day dream about running him over with the tractor or cruiser just to see if he'd say something.
In the end I just buggered off before I fucked up an got the silent treatment again.

    Not a bad bloke,just a bit different.

At a car dealership I worked at once the manager was younger than me by a few years and resented that I was liked by the owners and fast tracked through and given bonuses. Then when he was asked to step down from the TV advertising role and told that I was taking it over he didn't talk to me for two weeks. Then he got caught siphoning money out of the business and tried to pin it on me, leaving a paper trail he thought would lead to me. It didn't of course, and he resigned before he was fired. It was back in the day of needing a licence to be a salesperson so we objected to his application until he paid the money back. He then went onto bigger and better things, eventually fleeing the country under suspicion of siphoning nearly $250,000 from another dealer here.

I hope the cunt chokes on his own shit.

The worst boss I ever worked for was a real slave driver. He made me start work each day before everyone else, finish after everyone else. He paid me less than minimum wage, if he paid me at all. After a while I had had enough and stopped working for myself.

When I started my career as a chef all my bosses were vicious, psychotic, maniacs. After a few years & many tears I learned to distinguish those who nearly killed you in the pursuit of perfection from those who were inadequate for the task & took it out on the employees. Shifts were 6 days a week, 7am until midnight or so. Salaried. If you were fast enough to get your mise done, you got an hour or twos break in the afternoon.
Gordon Ramsay is a sweetheart compared to some of the evil, drug addled, alcoholic freaks I worked for in London. Ended up in A & E 3 times after having stuff thrown at me or being stabbed.
