Been on a road trip last 6 days, Gentle Annie, gisborne, coopers bay and staying tonight at waipu cove. Should have done 2500k by time the 3 of us get back tomorrow.

Recommend heading to the coast in this type of weather.

Anyone doing a little riding this weekend? I may finally be in a position to drag out the geriatrics. They even both sound like I won't need to do any persuading! Looks overcast for the weekend which may mean the tar may stay on the road.
I'm heading to Palmerston North today on my Brothers bike. Hello 4 day weekend lol leaving Hamilton today and coming back Monday if anyone's out and about in the area

Got me an upgrade from my 89$ warehouse job to http://www.gtbicycles.com/2014/bikes...arakoram-sport from evolution cycles. I use it to bike to work during the dry season. I recall u went to the wind thingys in rags - can anyone go or do u need to be special? I want to do the piako tracks with the kids but need tow bar (for the bikes not the kids) - u know of any CHEAP places for fitting and wiring? the mazda/ford shop quoted 1.1k

Was that you posting on GPforums?

That was ckai that rode up to the turbines I believe. Anyone can do it you just take the bridal veil falls turn off on the way to raglan and it is signposted along that road. Ckai will have more details.

Certainly wasn't me. Haven't been up there yet. Too much uphill

What are the piako tracks? Do you mean the Te Miro tracks? http://temiromtbclub.co.nz/

What time you thinking of heading out? I could be in for a coffee in Rags
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

Dunno if it'll be today or tomorrow. I think the boat is going out tomorrow so it'll either be a pootle today or ride to where the boat is heading which will probably be Tauranga. The folks are bloody hopeless when it comes to organising themselves.

Yeah I went for a ride up there. The funny thing is, it's not all uphill but obviously you're heading up. Is a big slog but pretty good. You'll need a decent amount of fitness if you don't want to do it all day. Still doable of you're unfit though.

Like silent said, head towards the falls, go past them, then I think you take a left which is sign posted. There's a massive parking lot.

As for towbars, best bars in Frankton. You'll probably be shocked at the price difference.

Not a lot of interest for camping trip so might just go for a blast out to raglan later this afternoon. Anyone keen?
