I do get that. The problem I see with Twightlight is that its has to many tight turns that you cant see through and you wont be able to see your buddy. I know of 1 crash on that road that was caused by drivers crossing the centreline.Originally Posted by Sis
How about Runciman Rd then go up to Bombay, back down Tigadee Top Box road? Bit longer but plenty of vision and lots of places to stop and discuss. We could even use Ararimu, Paparata Roads? Ararimu would be good as again lots of vision.

I have done mentoring training course using the lay out I mentioned. The stop is at the Clevedon Hall where there is a good car park (as well as toilets). So you just keep going around the block and coming back to the hall. You get to know the corners quite well.
Some of the corners are tight and blind - good practise. Also so slow that you are going to keep a pair of bikes reasonably close together. You don't have to be holding hands.
Also we know that the major help with cornering is the speed/position that one enters and the buddy will be able to see that.
Also the point with practise is not to go fast but to get everything correct and practise practise practise. Then before you realize it, your speed will have increased and you will be riding safer, without having to think of your lines - it will just happen.
Leaving you to enjoy the ride and keep an eye out for other dangers
