From what I'm hearing through others with kids at school, they're gonna miss out on pen & paper, cursive & to Hitchers horror, grammar.

Well done....you are no one to judge!
Narrow minded???? You think you know me, but you don't know jack shit!
At least my kids aren't racist bigots, if you think that's narrow minded you're fucked in the head as i always thought you were!

Hmmm, I went through the New Zealand primary school system in the 1980s and High School in the 1990s. I wasn't the most attentive student but I don't think we ever got past Verb, Noun, Adjective. It wasn't until I tried to learn other languages and teach English that I realised how little I knew about English grammar, and I went to a grammar school too ironically.

I wonder when that did stop being taught? Perhaps in the late 70s?

You really should teach your kids the facts of life.

    How to spell

LOL, Soz, LMFAO, ......... WTF !!!

Other than that, I think my children are growing up in a fast changing and quite exciting world.
As a parent I can't complain if my child is sitting inside playing Xbox - who bought them the Xbox? I did. My Xbox, my rules.

Don't complain because your kid just plays on his iPod all day. Get your own lazy arse up and do stuff with them.
Give them some memories of their own. They won't realise it at the time but they will later in life.

I remember scratchy records and bull rush but today's youth will have their own nostalgic memories of their time growing up.

I'm excited about what they have in their future, not what they may have missed out on in my past.

(I hope I haven't made any spelling mistakes, otherwise it would make my first sentence a little embarrassing)

Then I would have to guess it started dropping out in the 80's, maybee early? as I must be of similar age to you but I got taught all that stuff; whether or not I utilise what I was taught is another thing, but at-leat I was taught it.

What is reasonably entertaining is your reaction to a poorly disguised troll.
