The other week when i was in ChCH, I went from airport to Rolleston only, didnt see much as weather was very overcast.
Saw 1 accident down there very similar to that fatal crash last week(s) at a X intersection.

I am sure NZSPOKES will inform us.

Scope the place for touring rides, tell us what ya think when you come back. Have a good one.

No, not at all. Although part of it was from a minor incident on Sunday, not involving you. But was wondering if we need to do a speedo check on your bike.

Shame about the weather last few weeks. Was hoping to get to a SASS run. Unfortunately, be a bit far for me now, as we've had to move down to Wellington for work purposes. Rode the VFR down Friday. Bummed wasn't able to get to one last ride, but the way the cookie crumbles I spose. Will miss you fine folks!

On a cheerier note, if you're planning on taking a longer solo ride, don't do what I did! Due to circumstances somewhat beyond my control, I left Aucks for Welly after lunchtime. Had to do Taupo -> Wellington in the dark, including Desert Road at the end of June at 8:00PM. Was farkin -4C at the time! Not something I think I'll be repeating

If any of ya'lls are in Wellywood, be sure to stop by!

yes we don't need to do the 90 k check, which was my fault. don't like the font on the Scorpio at night.

need to do the 100 k check, speed healer? bwhahahaha.

Essential info for the newbies to SASS:
South Auckland Street Skills or SASS

WHAT: Learning and improving Riding Skills
    WHEN: Tuesday Nights
WHERE: Meet at Z (ex-Shell) Service Station, Cnr Great South Road and Taka St, TAKANINI (the one with a Burger King)
WHO: Riders new and old, and anyone getting back into Motorcycling (must be legal & hold a motorcycle license).
Weather and venue permitting - Heavy Rain may mean that we are watching DVDs. Showers are OK, look on the thread for more up-to-date information.
Depending on the number of riders and their experience levels, a short ride may be included to practice further skills. If there are enough riders, some nights can be split into two different groups.

    Some nights may include:
Practicing essential skills and techniques in a quiet carpark
On-the-road practice which may see you doing up to a 1hr - 1 1/2hr ride.

    WHY:
    - Practice essential skills for staying alive on the road.
    - Practical help with your riding.
    - Fun times with fellow riders, with great stories and discussions.
    - Build friendships, solicit advice and pick-up riding tips.

MEET at Z station Takanini -----------> before 6.55pm

    START ride -----------------------------> 7pm

FINISH ride at ex-Manukau City Council car park for slow-speed safety exercises -----> usually 8pm-8.15pm
(next to the new Manukau train station & opp. police station)

SOCIAL time @ BRONCOS after car park exercises -----------> 8.45pm-ish

Cost: Nil, nada, zip, zero, nothing... Just your time and attention.

Details of what will be happening each week will be posted on this thread. So kick the tires and light the fires... Let's ride, aSASSins!

    Disclaimer:
The SASS activity is intended to give any riders advice on their riding and to practice their skills in a safe and relaxed environment. The organisers of SASS are NOT responsible for any rider, their machines and/or any persons involved. All people attending SASS do so at their own risk.

Scratch that, won't be there tonight.

Bike had a full service but hasn't fixed the main problem. I've been told to ride it only to work and back and no more.

Cya next week all being well. Have a nice ride y'all.

Yea, well the kicker is that I had pre-purchase check done on this one and these things weren't picked up, which they should've been. Going to call the place tomorrow to complain/ask for my money back.

Da two-fiddy has been sold ma man. Getting picked up tomorrow but I don't really fancy riding out on a bike that isn't mine anymore!

Nothing wrong with that Scorpio. Probably more grunt than the VTR anyway, especially while it's carrying me at least..
