bollocks to that. Brian has been singer* longer than Bon was and some of their better work (including of course BACK IN BLACK) is post Bon Scott stuff.

*well, you know what I mean.

Anybody can be the drummer. The fact that Malcolm Young is fucked with dementia/alzheimers or whatever is what has fucked the band.

and it is not like anyone in the band needs the money.

they do have a new album coming out in December I think. The tour might be a bit ...... off.

Looking at his face I reckon meth bigtime. He doesnt look to have any of his teeth left - sure sign of "meth mouth" (Its a thing, look it up: basically meth dries up your saliva which means your teeth just rot away. Its disgusting).

They are nowhere near ending, Malcolms nephew took over rhythm duties a while ago and it sounds like Phil hadn't had much to do with the new album anyway. He's not in at least some of the promo shots for it.

Looks like their upcoming tour is still going ahead, according to their website. If they could get Chris Slade back their sound should still be the same. He drummed for them during the eighties after Phil Rudd had been kicked out, and he was great. Phil was an awesome drummer but it looks like the meths was the problem. He obviously didn't give a shit about the band and could have gone off the rails during the next tour if he hadn't been picked up now.

A charge against AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd of trying to hire a hitman to kill two people has been dropped by the Crown solicitor.

A spokeswoman for Greg Hollister-Jones on Friday said the charge was withdrawn due to insufficient evidence.

The drummer's lawyer, Paul Mabey QC, said the charge alleging the 60-year-old attempted to procure murder should never have been laid.

"Questions arise as to the degree of care taken by those responsible for arresting and charging him with attempting to procure murder," he said in a statement.

Mr Mabey says his client's reputation has already been affected given the intense worldwide media attention his brief court appearance on Thursday had attracted.

"The damage to Mr Rudd is incalculable," he said.

The barrister said the AC/DC member is considering further action over how police handled the matter.

Should let a few coppers back on the road to get those filthy lane splitters

It is only my opinion, I personally preferred the Bon Scott (early AC/DC) era, as I did with Iron Maiden and Paul Di'Anno. I guess it was the voice. Brian Johnson's voice does nothing for me.

Same, early accadacca had some raw appeal for me, but then it all went a bit "sameish" as did Iron Maiden, and Mettallica in later years went the same way I feel.
