That's a different debate to whether the shooting is real or not.

Look at it this way, if you had some big conspiracy to change France's direction on Palestine or War on Terror or whatever people want to claim, what point is there in having a fake shooting of a Muslim low level on the beat bicycle cop and then have to go through all the hassle of bribing and covering everything up. The people who claim conspiracy say the conspirators want thousands dead, so why spare some low level beat cop when his actual death and funeral would be easier to undertake and create a major outrage. Surely the preference would have been for a Jewish cop too right?

The rationale for it being a fake video, even if there is a "conspiracy" does not stack up. Nothing stirs up patriotic fervor more than troops and cops at home being killed on the streets doing their jobs.
