I'm glad someone's still fighting the bullshit that's touted as capitalism and globalisation but is nought more than legalised theft backed by force. Innovation is what has dragged us forwards kicking and screaming. The idea's of individuals turned into reality. It has sweet fanny adams to do with capitalism, like.

Good thing capitalism and globalisation foster innovation then Unlike communism, obviously; though the jury is still out on imaginism

I think, since it is a work of fiction, it sums up your ideas of capitalism rather well

No, like the example used was a work of fiction. If it were like you wish it was, perhaps your example might not be based in fiction

Yeah, I don't see Eastern Europe moaning about the loss of Communism, what good things did Stalin and that other mass murderer Mao do for anyone.

I toured around Eastern Europe, it was like going back to the 1950's, now they have BMW's maccers, KFC...all those good things.

I visited a blokes place in Karl Marx Stad ( Chemnitz), and he lived in a flat that shared a bathroom with 4 other families, rode an MZ with a sidecar.

Took me to another chaps place and he had a collection of Western motorcycles, apparently a Party member.

the movie " The lives of Others" reminded me of that time.

    Good movie

Those sure do need a tune up. Still, I'll take the patent wars over communism's whimsical beheading, and imaginism's dolists any day

I'm not sure why you separate Communism & Capitalism so much anyways? China's more capitalist than America yet they're called Communist

Because they are two different ways (and some of the most common) of doing the whole govt/political/financial thing. I'm not sure why you bring up China then, if it is not clearly one or the other.
