I wouldn't know if that is true or not but they're also not $1200!

What do you think it is worth? $50? $80? It has sold for very close to asking price. Next time check your facts before you open your mouth and maybe mind your own business so as not to further embarrass yourself.

Re read his post Jase before you go flying off the handle and embarrass yourself.

He never said it wasn't worth $1200. All he said was that he didn't know if the weight and HP figures quoted were true and that the FXR engine was not $1200 (given that the post immediately above was his stating that the FXR engine was available).

That is how I saw it anyway.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Read his reply to RMS eng. That is exactly what he said. He pointed out an FXR motor for much less than $1200 then said the CBR isn't worth $1200. That is how I read it.
    Care to clarify John H?
I doubt there will be any embarrassment on my part.

That's not really important right now. What is important is that you've seen the light & got rid of that 'orrible 4 stroke thingy, presumably to pursue a pure and decent path of rotary valve goodness.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Mate that CBR motor is a thing of beauty (for a diesel anyway)...

Wow calm down mate, I come in peace! Perhaps you should re-read - he's the one who brought the comparison up. I said that the motor was significantly more expensive and I wouldn't know if the engines stats were kosher. No facts to check there.

Whether it's worth the price or not it's a lot of money to pay for a bucket motor, it's more than many people pay for their whole bike. Good luck to whoever owns it, I've heard that they're supposed to be pretty good.

You could probably get it for less than the price of a CBR150 motor too...
