Why did the nurse with the shaking hands need to keep going with the tweezers until she removed ALL the melted jean material from the road rash?.

So it did not get infected.

If your this sensitive already you def wont like that experience.

Riding better will never fully remove the threat of the crash being caused by another road user.ATGATT ups the % of safety no matter how you ride....Every extra bit helps

Im hoping not as it may end up with you getting punched in the face...But my moneys on the fact that you would not tell the guy standing in front of you with his pants leg rolled up showing you the skin grafts talking about how long he was in Hospital and ATGATT to go fuck himself.

You got to love the brave that comes with the distance the internet don't you.
Personal choice mate but ouch! not for me.

They're going as fast as possible, on the absolute limit. Of course they're gonna expect to come off. They aren't allowed to race without all the gear either.

If some tard is harping on at me about ATGATT and rolling up his pants to show me his scars, damn Skippy I'll tell to go fuck himself.

Brave that comes with a keyboard? Look around. I'll bet $5 and a bag of chips that less than 5% of the times you bleeding heart types have seen someone in less than full gear, you've ever said anything to the person.

I'm not telling anyone to wear less safety gear than they do now. I'm saying the majority of us that ride are shithouse at it. If we were all forced to be trained, the toll would drop even if we all wore jandals and stubbies.

We would be the most ATGATT country in the world, by my research of travelling to a few tropical countries . . . . and watching youtube.

Have you done some training to improve your riding skills? And if not, what is stopping you from doing some training?

    I have not.

    A road legal bike.

I have been invited to a road safe course repeatedly, I'll get around to it one day.

Wot he says - that's very true ... but still no reason to ride in jandals and stubbies ...

My old bmw has a footwarmer each side so riding in jandals is fine, but seriously this summer I have ridden around in shorts and tee shirt heaps on small round town type journeys. no way I am atgatting just to go to the shops in this heat.

So what does statistics tell us? That most accidents happen within ten minutes of home. So that is precisely when you should ATGATT. Or you can argue with maths.

I've raced plenty of times with full kit and as much body armour as possible in scorching hot days, and you aren't just sitting around like road riding. Was it hot? Yes. Did it affect my performance? Barely noticed at the time and racers will do anything to gain an advantage.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

because, wherever you go, you usually leave home first.
ergo you statistically spend more time "within 10 minutes of home" than elsewise.....
