I had a ticket (in the UK) for speeding in a hired van - I was travelling at 55mph in a 60mph zone. apparently, the size van I was driving is limited to 50mph in those areas... I had no idea. And given that minutes before I was being 'pushed', while at 55-56mph, by a 40+ ton articulated lorry, I'd not given it a second thought.
Sadly the officer who stopped me subscribed to the 'ignorance is no excuse' school of thought. Oh well. My bad. One of those suck-it-up and learn from it scenarios.

Does seem a little odd that a well-known dealer would let the bike off the forecourt without up to date paperwork, though. I nearly got caught in a similar situation after an accident, when I found a loan car had rego expiring the following day. The garage hadn't noticed, so this sort of thing m,ay well not be uncommon. It's up to us to check, of course.
Not the same scenario - you are claiming ignorance of the road rules themselves which is your fuck up.

Not knowing the speed limits is a pretty basic driving fail.

You won't pass the theory test if you don't learn them for starters...

And there you have it. You're a pedantic fuck that should never ever be given the PRIVILEGE of a loaner bike. Take the time, to work out, how many *jobs* a particular bike shop may be doing in any given day. Then think about the ease of which, a mistake may well be made, trying to sort out every single person that wants something for nothing. Have you made the shop aware of this thread?

I think you owe it to them! And every other shop in your lovely city. Warn them.

Yeah. I sold bikes (and continue to do so) with a 100% straight up, no lies, no bullshit attitude. Been doing it for a very long time. But don't take my word for it. Ask anyone that's bought a bike from me. But I'm not here to sell bikes. I'm here (like you), to have my own opinion on various things. You can do it without any recourse, so can the OP. I'll live by mine.

On the flip side...this here, is a site for people to put the knife into hard working people, that more often than not, don't even realize, that a so called *good/reg* customer, is doing so.

    Work that out.

Ps: Your grasp of the Queens English is pretty fucking average for a trainspotter.

Lol you may want to Google Queens English at some point and then re read your own comments....Hypocrisy at its finest...."A site for people to put the knife into hard working people"How you ever sold a bike with this kind of "no bullshit attitude is well beyond me.Im glad you have found an E outlet to vent your true feelings though as I suspect that showing this on the shop floor may effect your sales somewhat...The anonymity of the net aye....

Ps if im a trainspotter then im looking at a wreak...
