There was a good scooter racing scene at Mt Wellington 5/6 odd years ago. Was good watching but just seemed to die away.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Aaron and Sudeep used to do that I think. I think they got sick of hurting themselves. Not many people went home without new battle scars on their bikes.

Jay and I agree that a one make class is a good idea. Where we lost prospective punters, was we thought Honda Goldwings would be awesome.

I was perhaps a tad out of touch (again). Had remembered pics of manic racing in Asia on little stepthrough bikes. Since Mr Puig has become involved it would seem Honda have supplied a full field of Honda NSF250R Moto3 bikes for the Asia Talent Cup. There are qualifying races for a seat on one of the 250s, one Australian has already had a tilt at it.

The 1980 through to 2010 models could have raced in the BEARS class category, perhaps one of their own, seeing they were built in Marysville Ohio in those days.

No problem with Accessing the MotoGP Videos. I usually just click on the "No Spoiler" icon.
Hmm might be a problem at my end then. Desktop PC is hard-wired into the TV here. I'll try the phone next time if I have problems. I was a bit hesitant due to the possibility of finding out results before I wanted to (Facebook etc). I'll bookmark the no spoiler page on the phone.

Think you have the wrong Yamaha guy there mate. It's all a conspiracy anyway! The fucking Italians took each other out, so as to not take too many points off their fellow wop!

If I remember right Tyler Lincoln tried his hand at that the first year it was running. Think first selection was on the underbone scooters, then if you were deemed worthy you were given a real bike.

Marquez is going to marmalise the rest of the field this year. Leading going to Austin and the bike is still basically crap... the kid's just fucking brilliant.

Indeed he is. But be a silly man that writes Lorenzo off this early.

Yeah, great how he crashed twice at Turn 1 to find the limits of the Michelin front!

Scott Redding is a very lucky man. I hope no one gets injured before Michelin sort their shit out.

Wasn't in the race though! Poor bastard was running well. You could see how stable his bike was compared to Pedrosa when he passed him. Not looking good for Dani! His team needs to knuckle down

Watched the racing last night. Who would want a job in Race Direction? Nowt but grumbles whatever you do..

Moto3 was strange. Edge of the seat stuff despite the huge gaps in the field. Pawi must have had the pit crew contemplating throwing rocks at him to get him to slow down. Fenati may have been a bad pick for that race.

    The main event:

Dovi was brilliant. Sheer class to push the bike over the line instead of killing Iannone and burying him in the gravel trap.
MM did what he does best.
Rossi really did have what rugby types always describe as "A game of two halves"
Vinales deserved better. Undone by going slightly too wide on one spot a la Lozenge.

So much for my predictive skills. No chocolate fish for me.
Congrats to Crasher. What do your crystal balls predict for Austin?
The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight underpants.
