yeah aye... them gangs are becomming quite a worry in Canterbury now days, just another side affect from the quakes...

Hey anyways your an old bugger with wealth and knowledge... when I come up on one of our more local rolling road blocks its usually behind a couple a cars just sitting there, well I slow a bit chose the side with less sheep and plough on through back on the road and them cars are still sitting there, never been abused by the cocky so Id say the cars that dont pass piss them off more? most use the dogs to move em over but them jack arses still dont pass.

I think you're right. If I'm going the same way that's what i do too - but politely. Going opposite direction it's easier to sit and let them through.
Yeah the people who do nothing piss me off too. Moving day coming up I think so there'll be plenty around.
Where i struck the sheep was the back road through Coalgate which has very narrow verges so easier to go round the block.

    Fucking modern cars.

Fixing central locking that doesn't work (well, works in the worst way, unlocks but doesn't lock) should be an easy thing, after all it's just some switches and motors isn't it. Nope, modern car, switches operate on a circuit board with chips and shit on it, no fucking idea what's working and what isn't, so still broken.

Seriously disturbs me the number of cars these days that are written off not because there is something mechanically wrong with them, but because the electronics has stopped working and it's either too expensive or nobody has enough clues to fix it.

    Fucking technology.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Modern electronics in cars are wonderful. First guy condemns the entire electronic module & punter sells worthless car to friendly chap for a small handful of cash.
Said chap repairs module with soldering iron & has mint car for next to nothing without getting his hands dirty.
Far better than buying VJ Valiant with blown head gasket & buggered trans & getting filthy & exhausted for a week fixing up a tired shitter like the olden days.

I'm talking about before they were cool.
I only feel pity for people with old cars.
Minimum of abs, airbags & buttons on the steering wheel to control shit that nobody really needs or its archaic.
