    Thanks...

the trick seems to be finding a shock with at least 50mm of travel
in the 300 to 350 length range..

theres a few on TM... but the travel is around 40/45mm
i want 150mm wheel travel the arm has a 3:1 ratio so
    need that 50mm shock travel..

    Theres these..

That's all well and good but for the fact that that's actually compression adjustment. Think the posters one is a GSF1200 too. Maybe the GSX1250 has rebound? Duh...fucked if I know!

that has piqued my interest. For one, most shocks with one damping adjuster I have seen (and honestly I defer to your vast experience) seem to go for rebound adjustment. Second, the GSX1250FA manual says this is a rebound dampening adjuster. Is the manual wrong?
Have to say as well, when I was playing with the settings on that shock the changes resulting from using that adjuster were not the ones I would have expected from compression dampening adjustment.

Not trying be a smart arse Pete, genuinely curious.......
