For so many reasons this guy is a great Champion. I can't imagine the paddock without him.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.

Hey, even after the old goat is finally put out to pasture, likely his social media feed will have views
of him out standing in his field, ah "paddock", & showing the young bucks the biz, on his ranch..

I just listened to the 11.00AM news and sport on Newstalk ZB. They finished the bulletin with a comprehensive and accurate account of Pedrosa's injuries, his recovery, his comments on his return to riding, and his record at valencia. Almost unbelievable.

Meanwhile... Somewhere in Spain a race is about to break out. The final curtain.

At least in NZ the last race also means that summer is not far off. The poor northern hemispherers have a winter of dark and despondency ahead.

MM for the win for my money.

He will feel a burning need to make up for the last two races so I expect him to ride at 100% - no more and certainly no less. I can't see anyone being able to live with Marquez at that level.

Promising start for the KTM only a few secs off the leader in fp1.

Lorenzo will dominate this race if its dry.

KTM is lacking rear grip. Previously this had not been noticed but on track with the other bikes it became apparent, which is why they are there. Apparently the bike sounds great which gives the impression the engine is a screamer not a big bang.

Lorenzo wrote a very nice letter to Yamaha saying thanks and goodbye. It has been published in both English and Spanish.

Pity Pedro is injured, he has a good record at Valencia. Rossi says he has trouble with Valencia.

Dorna say having multiple GPs in Spain helps pay for the ones away from Spain.

Dorna are inviting manufacturers to offer engines for Moto2. Preference is for 600cc fours though which narrows the field.

Who still makes a 600 four that would be suitable?

I would love to see a 750 twin which would make a logical step between Moto3 and the top class. I can count the makers of that on the fingers of no hands though.
