Sorry you lost me there. The complainants (the villagers) have withdrawn from the case. That may not be entirely unrelated to the fact that the insurgents being targeted have now admitted they were in the village, whereas previously the villagers had said they were not.
On TV last night the authors of the book expressed their disappointment that they were lied to. Of course. It may be that hearing what they wanted to hear made them unduly gullible.
The lawyer still thinks she's got a case, but she would wouldn't she.
