That would have been more convincing if it wasn't attributed to one of the world's most notorious anti-vaxxers. That doesn't say he's wrong, but it does mean the work is suspect.

I found that most of the research mentioned not being undertaken by anti-vaxxers helped too. So yeah, he may well be right like all broken clocks too.

Coronavirus Scandal Breaking in Merkel’s Germany. False Positives and the Drosten PCR Test

"On November 27 a highly-respected group of 23 international virologists, microbiologists and related scientists published a call for Eurosurveillance to retract the January 23, 2020 Drosten article. Their careful analysis of the original piece is damning. Theirs is a genuine “peer review.”".

Back in Jan 2020 eh. Damn was I wrong about it all back then.

Daming indeed anyone who claims that its not widely know that no biological virus test is 100% accurate is an idiot.

    NZ Covid app

Like many, I have the covid app installed on my phone and use it regularly.

It sends me quite a few notifications but never supplies any info about why it alerted me. What's that about then? Is the app crazy or am I?

    Thanks

Been there done that. Nothing obvious.

I seem to remember hearing that this does happen in some cases. This may be one of those cases.

Beats me. The only notification I’ve had was the notification that COVID was in the community the other night. I do use the app and have the Bluetooth part set up and turned on.

It’s irrelevant, Jacinda doesn’t even want people in the obvious source town to get tested unless they feel sick....
And once again we have female travellers who allegedly made a long distance journey without using public toilet or food services between destinations in holiday traffic....
We went HARD and we went EARLY to eliminate the virus....
We have no virus in NZ according to Jacinda....we eliminated the virus

Who knows if the virus isn’t spreading by traditional means, birds, ships rats and fleas etc...

In New Plymouth people had to queue for up to four hours to get tested. Two reasons for that: 1) the testers didn't start work until 9.00AM and people had been queueing since 7.00, I'd have thought the staff could have shown a greater sense of urgency but I don't run a hospital, 2) people who had neither contact nor symptoms showing up for testing and clogging up the system.

Last night there was a woman on the news talking about long distance journeys with no gas or food etc. Her comments were as ill informed as yours. For days there has been a list on the Health Dept web site: gas stations, food stops, tourist spots, motel, shops visited etc etc. It does get updated with additional detail but most of that information has been there since early on.
