There may be 2 seats at Pramac next season, although Morbidelli might have a 2-year contract.

Aprilia could be looking for a factory rider...

So in the Oxley Bom podcast (another plug, it's free but I've signed up as its very good) they had a show about tyres. Basically the Michis played into Gigis hand. He could engineer a bike that would work with massive rear grip but suboptimal front.

The problem now is Pirelli have all the feeder classes and they behave entirely different. The logical extension is if they take over MotoGP as well, the long and low, push everything down with Aero designs will suck.

And everyone will be trying to build a Yamaha.
How about that? Weird if it played out. 2027 till contract runs out but I hope Yam haven't sent their 2021 bikes to the crusher yet.

Well. it's announced. Liberty are buying MotoGP - incl WSB.

I see there are already suggestions of a 2nd race in the US with Indy suggested as likely.

The Liberty offer made the main radio news bulletin this morning. Not the sports news. The news. MotoGP doesn't make the news very often.

Thanks for the updates guys. Been away Trackday Taupo then Racing NZCMRR Autumn classic.

    Big news
Did I read was a 3.5 billion dollar deal to buy Moto GP and WSBK??
Dorna and Espeleza?? retaining 14% and still running the show.

There is people saying all over the net the subs are going to go up not down which is a bummer, we shall see.

Hmm. Why do stories like this get posted on the 2nd of April?

Although, in the states. . ..

But does anyone think this Liberty deal is actually going to improve the racing?

Or will it be just another regulation restricted parade lap for advertisers?

Call me a cynic if you will

No. I can see some of the less affluent GP's pruned off the calendar to make room for those who are prepared to pay like F1.
And the only reason to prune the calendar is because with sprints included the calendar is too crowded now.

Like F1, we may see it made harder to find a place for a new team. It's not easy now but it could get more difficult.
Who's going to allow BMW in ?

Dorna still have a financial stake in MotoGP and are retaining control of the series under the new deal. I guess we will just wait to see what happens but laughable there are a lot of 'the sky is falling the sky is falling' comments out there.

I dont think the sky is falling at all.

I just dont want to see something I enjoy watching being turned into the dull & boring sideshow shambles that is F1 today

    4.2b US, - 86% of MotoGP.

In other news, rumours are that MM will still be Ducati next season but its gonna be red.

I wasn't referring to anyone in here. There are posts online about some pretty obscure stuff, almost tin foil hat level.

I've thought for a while now that some of the Stewards decisions meet the criteria needed for tinfoil hats.

Looking at the shit happening in F1 i worry about it carrying over.
