Apparently listening to the race braodcasters JM just wanted an extension to evulate the bike for 5 races like in his initial contract because he couldnt because of injury and and got a no!

That is two top superbike stars in a week! I'm struggling to think who was the last big name to go across from SB to Motogp, Spies?????

Quite easy. He's on the best bike. There are six Dooclatteries, Three of them are 25s. All Three 25 riders are not as fast as they could be, just Marc rides around the problem like he did on Honda.
So that leaves Fermin the rookie, and man he's up the front often, Morbidelli, again often near the front but he's good, not special.
Alex is the best of them. He's always been good. Just not Alien like his brother. The 23 was hard to ride with the 24 tyre which suppressed all the above guys who were on them plus Bez and Digi.
Marc was the only one who could ride around it, but the gap to the 24 on 24 tyre which Martin and Peco had was still a bit much.
On 22 tyres the above all went better than with the wrong combination. 24 bike on 24 tyre is the best in 2025 (and 24).
So Alex is showing his true potential at last.
I suspect if you put Peco back on a clone he would be faster than Alex but not by much.
Marc would just be annoyingly quicker still.

Might have jumped the gun on this as Ducati has not said that he will ride in MotoGP in 2027. But it's difficult to why they would want him as a test rider if that's not the plan.
