The Iranians have a reputation for being able to reach out and assassinate people who have offended them. Not always successfully as in some well known cases but they've had their successes. They have utilised local criminal resources on occasion.
To counteract such threats there is a specialist team within the FBI, CI 12, for Counter Intelligence 12. CI 12 is a specialist counter espionage group within the FBI. Last week FBI Director, Kash Patel, gutted the group by firing a number of them. A dozen or so. Those fired are believed to have been involved in the investigation of the theft of a large number of secret documents from the government. The documents were located at Mar a Lago.
In a feat of amazing timing almost the very next day Trump bombed Iran. He'll be oK he has 24 hr security. Other US officials don't.
Oh and there is currently a meeting of the UN Security Council. The US will chair this session. Who did Trump delegate to chair the meeting? Fresh from her movie bombing, he sent Melania. Embarrassing.

There are currently multiple reports that US troops are being briefed that Trump is anointed by God and that the troops are instruments of God's will in bringing about Armageddon and the second coming of Christ. If that doesn't scare you it should. It was previously known that individuals held these beliefs, Mike Pompeo, former Secretary of State, was one such. Many people are going to be startled at how wide spread this nonsense is now. Those stupid redneck churches have a lot to answer for.
If the Democrats ever regain the helm all the commanders that peddled that crap should be out on their arse with no pension. Separation of church and state suddenly seems like a great idea.

Bellingcat, the war crimes investigators, say they have proof the school was hit by a Tomahawk missile. Neither Israel nor Iran have Tomahawk missiles. That narrows the field considerably.

Well, this is awkward...
This has all the hallmarks of another North Korea or Vietnam to me, the Iranians know the reality of their situation and presumably will have planned for this kind of attack. I find it hard to believe that even Israeli intelligence could uncover and counter all those plans, plus the Iranians are on home soil and can adapt.
Meanwhile the Russians are incentivised by their existing relationship with the Iranians and the boost to oil prices to keep the Iranians in the fight, at the same time they can leverage Putin's relationship with Trump to get the US to look the other way while they're doing so.
The only hope I see is Trump not having the stomach for a prolonged war and declaring victory unilaterally when he's had enough. Then maybe things can go back to a semblance of normality, except for a lot of pissed off people in the middle east.

Trump apparently became dissatisfied with the state of the shoes of his Cabinet members so he has guessed their sizes and bought them new shoes. The shoes may not fit but the Cabinet members are afraid not to wear them. Florsheim shoes used to be a reputable brand with their shoes made in the US and Italy. More recently the company was taken over by a corporation which now gets the shoes manufactured cheaply in Asia.
If you see Cabinet members walking funny it may not mean they were up all night shagging. It may just be hurty feet.
