Getting sorta back OT...I subscribe to the simple philosophy (like Sarge) that one look at a human's teeth tells you what nature intended/tailored us to eat.

i did not say lepto was transferred by meat... i said loads of farmers can get it when the cows pee and shit and swat their tails all over the farmers when they milk the cows and transport them etc..

and i didnt say that mastitis was transferrable to humans, i said think of the poor fudging cows who have to deal with it because of mass milk production.

and it is not fiction, i have seen it myself... the standards for pigs ESPECIALLY , in new zealand are horrific!! and chickens aren't much better... both of which are MUCH worse than in say some parts of Europe. In Nz, chickens are forced to live out their lives in cages that aren't even the size of an A4 piece of paper (all dimentionsare about 3/4 of the length of an A4 page)

Accuse? Pointing out factual and contextual issues in what you wrote isn't "accusing". What you posted may be your opinion, but if that is patently and demonstrably untrue, then the validity of your opinion on these matters is, at best, invalid. You have produced nothing by way of evidence that would lead me to any view other than you made up most of what you posted for no reason other than dramatic effect.

And I don't think you want to compare qualifications, credentials and experience in the propaganda business either.

Right. And the most important fact to remember is humans do not require meat to live - never have done, never will do.

Despite decades of propaganda from the meat industries attempting
to brainwash the population to their view (the "science" can be bought - ask any large American Corporation) - and with some degree of success judging by some of the posts here, millions of vegetarians happily walk this planet daily proving the fact mentioned above.

If you, naked and unaided, chase down a large mammal, kill it with your bare hands, and eat it raw there on the spot, you may have a better chance of convincing me its a natural thing.

Consider this:
Unlike most mammals, we have stereo colour vision...to see highly coloured food. We like sweet tastes and nice smells. We dont have claws, we have hands with opposable thumbs - for picking and grasping. Our tooth structure and digestive tract (3 times longer and quite diffrent to a carnavore) is most suited to eating......FRUIT!(And yes fruit supplies minimal but sufficient protien,fatty acids etc,carbs, vits and minerals - the only food group that does) Like the primates we are supposed to have evolved from, with who we share 90something % of DNA, and who are in most cases vegetarian. Even the plants that provide fruit, do so to get their seeds spread around (complete with manure!) THAT is true nature. Garden of Eden stuff. Sure humans can survive on many other foods (and smoke and take drugs etc) but fruit is the most natural food going. Hows That?

We have brains to think properly and hands with opposible thumbs so we could make guns to go hunting with, cause honestly, there's nothing better than chasing an animal on foot than shooting it

good point there newbie... but then again, we disrupted evolution to keep the sheep protected from the wolves... not that it was wrong.. but evolution might have stated that sheep would have gotten more wise and able to protect themselves, instead of us doing it for them, and them not developing ways to evade them...

but thats a whole other kettle of water... but you DO have the right idea with us being able to have the right nutrients we require.

Seriously, has no-one here read the Bible? The only reason we eat animals, and animals eat animals is because Adam and Eve ate some veges they weren't supposed to... and that was also the initial end of public nudity...
