The pink shoelaces were to stand out really well, but mostly for a laugh... They are starting to get dirty, so I might go get some different laces soon...

Yeah, I've decided what colour I'm gonna put on my bike, but I'm only revealing that if I get my bike working again... damn Yamaha's...

haha well you know where to find the remains of my old bike if ya need more parts:P the honda seems to be just a little more reliable to be honest...the fzr was nice but i can see why the CBR has such a good resale value, it's just better

good luck getting your bike back together bro

Never heard of a Hamilton company called Bikeparts, but a good place to get a new rear tire (or any other accessory) in Hamilton would be Boyd Honda... ask them for a discount... they'll hook you up pretty good... stay away from Road&Sport, they'll ask you for every last dollar you have

Actually Road & Sport looked after me pretty damb well - I saved about $110 on a set of tyres, compared to any where else in town brand for brand, good tyres too. They did me a good deal on chain and sprokets too.
Nothing against Boyds - got some cheap gear there a few weeks back at a sale they had.
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on

For friendly service, I haven't found a better place than Boyd's... Yamaha is always very helpful when I'm in there, and the Kawasaki place has been pretty good in the past, but I have nothing good to say about Suzuki

i second robs opinion, boyd are the best place to go for service and cheap parts (brand new) yamaha are also competitive but not on the riding gear....kawasaki...it depends on what bike you have

there's also that place just down from sunshine ave which i can't remember what the name is but it's on the same side of the road as boyd

suzuki road and sport is a rip off...they're certainly friendly...especially if they wan't you to buy something you can get WAY cheaper about 1 mins walk away with a big honda sign outside

I dunno, R&S can be pretty pricey, but I've always found them helpful, and they didn't scoff and bitch like Boyd did when I told them I wanted Avon Storms. Plus they have free hot liquid crap upstairs. Overall I agree that Boyd is better, but it pays to shop around. Sometimes R&S is the better deal, and I personally have been very impressed by the service of their mechanical department and their willingness to troubleshoot a problem which may or may not have been their fault, without charging me a damn thing.

haha, their mechanical department? that's a laugh... last time i took my bike there just to get a quick check on it, just for the parts that needed replacing (my RG150 had just been half-reversed over), they said, "um, yeah... if you leave it here (friday lunchtime), we should be able to have a look at it for you by say... Tuesday..."
My reply: "F**k that..." took my bike to Waikato Yamaha, they said "yeah sure, we'll drop everything and look at it for you right this second" (to that extent), they wrote everything up (for the other persons insurance company to pay), and 10 minutes later i was on my way... Yamaha have hot drinks in their showroom, so you don't even have to walk up some stairs... Moral of the story: Suzuki bites, Yamaha service department is awesome
