Its not that bad, saves having to lug beer/bottles around on the bike.
I only posted this because of the global economic crisis

Ok thanks 007XX, will PM you closer to the date to see what time you're leaving Auckland. Meeting at AutoBahn would be perfect for me.

I think there are a couple of others heading down in the afternoon (1/2 day off work) and planning to stay the night in Taupo at a motel/hotel and then heading off to the Cold Kiwi Sat morning. Is that an option for you guys?

That's true... but you've still got to drink it and if it's a brand that's not for sale... who knows.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

At a guess...by dinner time Friday, no one will give a shit what you're drinking.

Nah mate...We go there straight through National park, much nicer road to go on, if a little longer...

Besides, we normally get really pickled on the Friday then have an easy one on Saturday to be ok for the ride back on Sunday...

The no BYO will most likely to be contain glass, from being broken & thrown.
It only takes one 'mate' of a weekend motorcyclist (who has probably driven a back up tintop) to spoil this.
I will be taking my preferred poison, and anti freeze, and drinking it there.
