sounds like a plan...im not bugged either way, just thought it might be nice to see the sun for a change - we can wait and see what the rest of the crew feels like doing and of course, ya never know what the weather forecast will say later in the week

Jury is holding out for the weekend but it doesnt look likely. This weather is getting................ interesting......

Sick of it already and still looks like a few days to go.

Yeah, it would be nice to be warm AND dry. And the sun will be out somewhere surely.

be aware tho - the farmers have been grazing down the sides of the roads with the lack of rain in the last few months so there was a fair bit of cow crap on the roads....99% of it was dry, very little 'fresh' stuff when i went through 2 weeks ago and hopefully its cleaned up a bit by now tho but as usual on the back roads, eyes peeled....

cow shit on the new bike not good
I would however be just as worried about the cows that escaped and are wandering along the roadside

well the weather is crap here at mo .. hope to get Betsy out for a fang & see if the dying issue is still there .. or might have to steal a gixxer ...

I would be more happier in the sun than rain .. perhaps its good to have east west rides & we can see wot the weather is like on the day and follow the sun ..

bugger Al your gonna miss sugi racing the long track if your working weekend of 18th

i didnt actually see any livestock, just the 'leftovers' and the temporary fences along the sides of the roads where they had been grazing

Just done the loop from Palmy, Fordell, Hunterville, and Vinegar Hill today. Roads are in surprisingly good condition considering the weather we have been having. A few wet slippery bits but only the usual rubbish you would expect to find on back roads. No major surprises. But always pays to be on the look out for stray animals on these back roads.

Hope so and it's always hard to tell until the day before, and even then......?

I'm off to masterton until Friday night for a conference so I'll check in then and see how things are looking.

Have fun all, and may the weekend arrive soon

    see map here

but im thinking (and this is only a suggestion, im quite happy to go with the flow on this one), the sun looks like it might actually be out and we might get some dry roads for a change over on the east side this weekend, where this side is looking pretty average so maybe we do an eastern run this week and the western next?

feel free to shoot me down mercilessly of course....

edit: we still need to figure out a route to get to and from waipawa of course but i have a bit of a plan.....
Yea.... I can help you out there.....If it's a nice day.... I got a nice little track I like to take
