I remember the day i started school back in 1967

OMG.. you're soooooo OOOLLLDDD!!!

MyGSXF you will have more time to go out for rides now with the little guy at school. You will be fine after the first day.

Yeah.. only I have to get it out from it's place collecting dust in the garage & get her reg'd & wof'd.. funnily enough.. it was at the top of my list for today!!!

What neat pics! My kiddies are now 8 and 6 so seasoned pros at the school thing. That first day is a bit traumatic for mum though...!

My oldest one is 11 1/2.. & it still amazes me just how quickly they grow!!!! I'm used to him being away as he has been full time in kindy & pre school.. but just the word "school" puts a different slant on things.. lols.. so not quite sure what I'm feeling at the moment..

Congrats on getting him this far, it is supposed to get easier for a little while now, then the teenage thing kicks in.... enjoy the time for you.

Oh yes - there's no family issues - just work took me to the States on the day. Funnily enough Iwas there for his 1st birthday... my wife's 30th, my wife's 31st...

Little fella is home now after his first day at school!!!

His teacher said he fitted right in, & made himself at home!! Sure is a different feeling going to collect him from "school".. rather than "pre-school"!!

He's just finished reading me a story!!! doesn't take them long huh!!!

Memory is still all good, i can remember a class trip to Ohakea Air Base ( was born in Palmerston North) and there was not enough room on the bus so i got to go with Miss Martin....she had a Triumph Spitfire......so i guess that 'T' word was embedded at an early age...

The years roll by incredibly quickly! Enjoy the time you have together.
I can well remember hXc's first day of school..he wouldn't kiss me goodbye because he was a "big schoolboy now". He is now 16 and planning a trip to Belgium for a year...will be gone in less than 12 months....my baby, all grown up and leaving home!

My baby (youngest of 3) will be turning 16 soon! The day she started school, I walked out to drive the kids to school. I'm catching the bus with the big kids was her response. So I drove to the school and waited for the bus to arrive to take her into her class. At 2pm I went to collect her, as we were walking out she wanted to know why she could not catch the bus home with the big kids!

Next day, repeat the drive to school to wait for the bus, talk to the teacher and Hannah stays at school all day, and catches the bus both ways

Mate, we share 4 girls between us, 20, 17, 15 and 10. Far to scarey to contemplate really. Sensible kids the lot of them, though to be fair they have given some "moments" from time to time. Mark is a wise man he blows me away with his ability to talk to his girls, he does not have a gun.......thank goodness

He's an incredible little fella for sure!! especially considering he wasn't even expected to live when he was born!!! Instead, he's very intelligent, vivacious, outgoing, cheeky as hell & charms everyone where ever he goes!!
