Wihoooooooooo
The New Zealand Film Archive in Wellington is showing a lanesplit video-bike-cam dual-video projection art in their art gallery space from this thursday-made by surfchick and starring the back-end of a certain well known rf900...
The two video's play a long lane-split (cheers MDU) with cameras filming from the rear of the RF900 and from the front of the ducati 996 - the two cams-views get played back beside eachother in realtime so the viewers can see the split from the POV of both bikes.
COME TO THE SHOW ON YA BIKE:
Wellington KB crew- you are soooo invited to the opening night of this exhibition- some bike-video art, wine and some food etc - This thursday night (30th Aug) Entry is FREE. The address is NZ film archive:84 Taranaki Street, Wellington
Actually the gallery is amped to have a motorcycle work in their space and is totally into you all turning up in your leathersIt'd be primo to overrun the opening of the art show with bikes arriving outside
Motomart is even loaning a 996 for the winow display to get the punters keen. I'm amped to meet any of the Welly crew that's around as I'll be at the opening event (thu night) cause my real-day job is artwork.
If there is enough interest in motorcycle-based video-art I'll be able to make some bigger, better, faster video-works hopfully with Jill and a few others later this year.
Thanks a million MDU and Bugjuice for the tests and shoots that you were part of earlier. vrooooooooom![]()
