If I come can I park the A inside? It'd fit nicely in a corner somewhere...
"Some people are like clouds, once they fuck off, it's a great day!"
Hmm - just down the road from work.... Excellent!!! If time alows I'll try and drop by but I doubt I'll bring a bike - the parking there is non existent....
righty tv3's nightline will be covering this event -
We'd love the wellington biker crew to be on TV- and get ya bike on TV.
the art event runs from 5.30 till 6.30.
we'd love it well attended by riders, the art is one thing, but actually real bikers riding around and parking up is alot more noisy and shiny!! the cameras will be hungry for images of the bikes
if i can get an idea of who might be arriving on their ride - we might be able to do a group circle of the small block that the film archive is in and arrive together
post back if you think you'd like to circle the block a few times and arrive all at once and park up - was thinking we ight do this just before 6.00 - can anyone make it at 5.30 ish to meet up with me and plan a weee block group pass-by?
ha ha i had to make the rf900 sound totally suited to the task of lane splitting - rather than the corner chewing open-road-cruncher that it really is...![]()
ps. the 35L top-box makes your asse look small actually
the breaklights are indeed a sight to behold-but i was glad you had them so as not to hit you when you evaded the bus...
Not wanting to rain on your parade (I love a good pun) but thats a bit of a horror place traffic wise to try and arrange a ride around the block at 5:30... (you mean the Taranaki st corner right?)
There is NO parking around the whole corner and it's very busy at rush hour. Trying to stop there would be a bit tricky and parking on the footpath is going to be awkward as well. The up side is most of the bad traffic is on the other side of the road heading up to the bypass...
There is a motorcycle park 200yds away on the Taranaki / Dixon st corner (by the vert bungy) but gym people always park on it after hours and I'd be reluctant to park a bike there after 6:30 due to the wonderful pub next door..
Maybe the council or Police could help??
Just a thought?
I see Motomart is sponsoring it..?
Id be keen if I still had a road bike![]()

Went for a stroll down to the archive earlier - I'm not sure if the methodist Chuch across the rd is happy about it but they have a very handy car park...
Hmmmmmm....
hi paul & co-
i'll see what the traffic is like outside today as i'm in the building all day till closing re. doing a few laps-hopefully our side of the street isn't **too blocked round 5.50ish- the film archive is keen to have the row of bikes parked on the pavement of taranaki end of the ghuznee st (on the total corner of the two streets) for the opening so they can be seen from inside their big cafe on the corner during the opening. because it's an event I'm hoping not to trigger the welly parking wardens as we will be well behaved and the bikes will be in a neat angled row. the pavement is really quite wide there...
surfchick, I'll give you a shiny dollar if you can strap a camera to your 996 and keep Frosty in sight from one end of the northwestern to the other at rush hour...
kiwibiker is full of love, an disrespect.
