Yes, this trip will be done during the weekdays.
The trip could be posponded to another day if we find a weather disaster on the forecast websites.

Trip route is preferred to be done like this:

    Go through Kaiaua
Then to Thames via Miranda, We will meet Taurangans at Thames then head to Kev's place together
Staying at Kev's place for the night, we will also have BBQ dinner

Next day, we will head back to Thames to meet the 2nd group
When we gather, we will ride to the destination Coromandel
then go to Whitianga, maybe have lunch as Kiwifire72 suggested the place "The Fire Place"
Continue on the SH25 to Pauanui
Go down to Waihi, Taurangans can separate from here
    Then finally Paeroa and Auckland

Could be keen since my schedule is flexible at the mo. I grew up in the Coro so know the roads as good as anyone. Suggest postponing your lunch stop a little further along the ride since you'll get there in about 40 minutes from the CBD.

Yep, will be keen to meet in Thames for lunch. Got no problem with you leading as this is a confidence trip for you mate, don't want you feeling out of your depth and we all know the planned route.

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

Got plenty of places to eat or have a drink there. Will have a look for cheap backpackers or something there now.

Well, we'll be on under 250's, and it's just a quiet cruise. I'm all for takin 2 days to do it an have the chance to take in the scenery clearly and not in a blur.

Try Anchor Lodge in Coromandel Town. Beautiful cabins and within crawling distance of the Admirals Arms pub and the superb chip shop. Have a look at http://www.coromandeltown.co.nz/ for other accommodation options. Pity we're renovating our bach down on the harbour at present or you could have had that at a sharp price on a weekday.

With a two day timeframe EJ, you could easily do the full loop....not the half, go right down to Waihi on the eastern side and through to Paeroa...
