Fair cop? I got my 1st ever speeding ticket this (yesterday) morning!

    117 in a 100 zone!

    was it a fair cop?

    yes!

i got fined 120 dollars! no demerit points though. (still not got my kiwi license yet, and dont have to for another few months. although im sure i will get yet more abuse for that.....bring it on, only sign your name when you do and dont be cowards by hiding behind anonymity!)

why do i think it a fair cop? well.........i have (like just about everyone else on these forums) been out on the bike and broken the speed limits. in town and village no i dont, but out in the "country"? yes i do go above 100 kph, anyone says they dont and it will take a HUGE amount of persuasion (and lots of mind bending drugs lol) for me to believe you!

all i can say is, its the 1st time i have ever been caught speeding (here and in europe) and i am surprised by that! so yep, its a fair cop! or should i say "it was about time"!

    the point is?

well i got some abuse from people for my last thread who thought i was being anti cop, this is to prove i aint "anti cop". i was speeding and i got caught. simple. i accept it.

still, i covered over 2 thousand ks in 3 days and i got caught once by a mufti cop! (damn she were good looking too!) not bad going aye!

for anyone that is interested i will do a write up tomorow with some pics, im too knackered now lol
i wouldnt want to be caught dead in the same grave as me.

Dunno why you're expecting a shit fight dude, unless you want one anyway. We all do it, we all get them.

Sounds like you've been on a bit of a road trip ... sounds more interesting than the ticket story

Lee, when you get the Kiwi licence do you have to start from scratch, like the L scene and 250cc etc, or does your pommy licence give you dispensation to get a full NZ licence?
Because if you have to start from scratch, thats gonna be interesting with what you ride...........

I am pretty sure and believe all he would have to do is sit his full license test and he gets a full NZ bike license.

Don't know if you can use your own bike on the test either since you are technically allowed to ride it with your international license nor do I know what happens to any demerits accumilated on the international license they may be transfered :scratcch:

I know here in the UK i you drive on your NZ licence and fuck up big time they make you get a UK licence and then dock your points off that.

You can prob drive on a UK licence in NZ for a certain time period without having an international licence.

You just have to do the multiple choice and that's it. No practical test.

The UK licence is an International Licence in itself, just that they recommend travellers get an International from say the AA to avoid confusion.
