i dnt understand y there are 2 street magics a couple of scooters etc parked back there....and those pricks are taking up a dickload of space....i mean y not just pick up the street magic n stick it is a space that a bigger bike cudnt use?!?!?!

also im pretty sure that we are fine parking there....the custodians walk past there all the time and theyre fine with us parking there....
those guys shudda just started revving their engines when he started talking shit thats what i wudda done before i burnt off and left him with a face fulla CO
a bit of diplomacy wouldnt go amiss, it is not our "right" to park there, and we get away with it because of the goodwill of those who work in the gym and the custodians, we should do our best not to get in the way or annoy others, for everyones sake.

Perhaps if we could go back to how the parking used to be back there, staying away from the door spot, and down alongside the gym at the carpark end more, we were alot more out of the way there. Security is better there too if you look at it from the pov that there is a rail there to lock it to. Also wont get drunks/dicks screwing with your bike when they come down from shads, or just people bumping them as they try to squeeze by.

Only 5 bikes parked over on the sci side when i left @ 12 today (including me), can fit at least 8-9 infront of the cars and more by the wall (where the cbr600 parks), walk that extra 20metres.

cheers man but im gonna go with the "creativity is all an entrepreneur needs" topic....in retrospect it wudda been a sheetload easier to just research one successful entrepreneur and write an essay on what characteristics got him the success :P

think about it this way...if you parked on symonds st then you wudnt even need to take a run up...the natural slope would do all the work for u

This is exactly what people said when they ripped out Alfred St. I'm sorry, but they're going to have to accommodate us.

as said in my post above, there is room back there, lets use it so as not to cause a problem with foot traffic

i refer you to the post by tom cornall (xerxesdaphat)....diplomacy can kiss my ass!! i haf no tolerance for pedestrians who point the finger at cyclists and bikers etc who use the pavement and other surrounding areas, but wont make the effort to walk that 20m down the road to the bloody pedestrian crossing....GET OFF THE FUCKING ROAD AND ILL GET OFF THE FUCKING FOOTPATH!!

sorry about my forwardness and steve this is by no means an attack at you mate, but just thinkin of the number of times ive had to swerve because some idiot jumps out onto the road without looking...and then some ol codger comes about thinkin he owns the footpath!! ITS CALLED A PUBLIC FOOTPATH FOR A REASON!!!

man sleep deprivation has really taken its toll on my mood :P

EDIT: Parking on the footpath and private areas where we have been given consent isnt illegal....j walking is.....

today i watched the r1 get bumped into as people tried to squeeze through the doorway after a lecture....

remember nish, you're foot traffic too once you're off the bike, do you use the underpass to cross symonds? :P

the issue here is not whose footpath it is (as pointed out in my first post, this particular person who vented could have done approached the situation in a far better manner). But does highlight the case that we must collectively show a wee bit more consideration in our parking back there, giving reasonable access to the doorway in particular.

You been on the 'ol peace pipe Stevo? I reckon these guys (Nish) are just pissed off with their uni workloads and consequential lack of ride time.

I am impressed with your diplomacy though, you should be a UN negotiator...

which again brings me back to the point of why the hell there are scooters and street magics parked back there.....when we first parked there it was semi empty and we all parked behind the gym...admittedly it has gotten busier so we have to park where we can....

agreed, and reading james' post bout the yellow hobag....that kinda shit does not represent the population.....and going back to your first point in this post, i park my bike in places that i dont percieve to be bottlenecks....pedestrians in general are assholes

Hahaha, by the sounds of it the old guy was a loony. whenever I rock up to a mall I try and park on the footpath, but out of the way, like by a rubbish bin or a pole. It makes sense not to take up a whole "Car" parking space.

equality is something people fight for, admittedly my tl is bigger capacity than your zxr, does that give me more of a right to park there than you?
they too get a wet seat on a rainy day, ride with the same asses trying to take them out.. market for tr50's is good, bloody well easier to knick one of them and rereg it as yours than a big bike!!!!

If we could all just make an effort to ensure a clear path for peds and when we see others pulling up, get them to do the same (and tell them about the pink ribbon ride next weekend!!!!) she'll be all gooood

Who the fuck told you my name, Nish?!

Oh wait. You're like President or something

I think the bikes parking nose-to-tail along the wall of the gym (opposite the lockers) are fine there. Low pedestrian area, don't take up very much room. And maybe one bike right outside the lockers, right in the corner is OK. But more than a few and we're pushing our luck.

Where exactly do you mean, Ste[ph|v]en?

lol hu in their right minds would go through the trouble of scoping out, organising and carrying out a jobbie on a bloody scooter?!?!?! its not whos got the bigger instrument (hehe ive always wanted to use that dodgy pun ) just sayin that the street magics and scooters are just as easily parked under the stairs leading upto the quad or further in under the quad....

newayz since no peace pipe at home (parents would kill me if they caught me)....oh speaking of which my mum went to an antique store and bought a bong!! she has no idea what it is but think it "looks cool" and i aint gonna tell her what it is

im hittin the sack....got another essay to write tommorrow.........

take it easy yall and im prolly gonna run over as many peds as i can tomorro and c how long i can do burnouts for on their faces before their skin comes off my rear does need changing so may as well do a few burnouts before i get it replaced

    gnite all and shoot peds
