Shit the cost,as said here why not put the yammy in shed and get another one for now, especially if time to get fixed, and we're heading into summer(so I'm told).Lucky you completed the holiday ok by sound of it.Can understand the reason for the beast being repaired, man they go.Last time was two up in a race with another couple on a gxer 750 and was on a rd350lc around 1986,very young and stupid.Stopped looking at speedo when close to 90mph,downhill into a slight right turn, can still feel the sphinkter(sp)tighten now.

can not afford a new bike .. yet ...

the silly thing is never missed a beat heading down south just had oil splatter & once found the location thought it would be wise to get it fixed before this weekend .. then circumstances & opening her up found other wee issues that should be sorted ... sighs ..

so its either get her repaired or no bike for prob next 12 months, & for my sanity I doubt that will be an option .. to many places to explore now ..

    agreed.

imho if you intend on doing more and more touring (and Im pretty sure you are) you will find a larger sports tourer type machine far more comfortable and probably cheaper too, in the long run....

Yeah, drag him out Phoebe. I cunningly came up with this route so he could slip off over the bridge for his beauty sleep Welcome to KB

I have to agree. If Betsy is going to cost so much, wrap up her bits and store them. Spend the money on a new/2nd hand bike deposit and make easy payments. You can put down very little and spread the payments out and put lump sums down as you can. Life's too short to be bikeless! Easy?

Quite old boy. Jolly good show

Well, I was heading into town today and got dragged off over the bridge by this big red V8 Holden Ute. Never saw the driver but the plate looked familiar heh heh.
