That's a flaw I immediately spotted in the theory anyway - any serious theory of women has to deal with the difference between girlfriends and wives and the conditions under which they can move from one state to the other (obviously not a reversible reaction)...

Ok, well I dont fully understand where you are coming from but my understanding is, either married party is bonded with each other and should not look outside of that bond - however if one person is not happy and then looks outside (making a choice) and sexual relations occur (in this example) that it becomes ok because he/she has made the choice for it to occur. I have only been engaged before not married, the details surounding that are not for public forum.
From the other parties point of view I admit it would not be at all pleasant, and that it compromises that bond as well as being, to a degree; out of their control - which is not a good place to be.
