Had a great moment on the motorway on the K1200RS the other day, just pootling along past a convertible with a couple of young boys in the back. Their heads followed me and they waved madly as I overtook.

I would have pulled a wheelie for them, but the K's a shaft drive. Shafties can't wheelie, you know. It's physics.
    Another test ride?

Cargo and I hired a Hog in Vegas and parked it at a nat park to go for a short walk. These travelling latin types asked if they could sit on it for a photo. I said no prob and then when we got back from our walk 10 min later they were still taking photos! They apologised but I just was laughing.
No-one has ever asked to sit on the V Strom

    Im happy if people ask..

Kids can be the worst, ice cream and lollie sticky-fingers everywhere.

The hog was OK, lots of the shiny chrome bits got really hot, and the sticky fingers were rapidly removed, but the ER6 doesn't really have an exhaust system to teach that lesson !
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.

It ain't just a bike.......... it is your pride and joy.
Your hard earned cash has gone into buying your bike.
Why the hell should people be able to go and jump on someone's bike and put it at risk of it falling over. That costs US money to repair it cos they take off after damaging it.

I sure don't want filthy grubby mits all over the bike after spending hours cleaning her.

You don't just go jumping into their car or on the rooof of it....

    Why.

Cause you show blardy RESPECT for their possessions.

It comes down to damn lack of respect for another person's property.

If I say it is ok then thats fine otherwise stay the hell away from my bike.

Oh and if I ever find the arsewipe that did what they did to my bike recently.
Gawd help them....... they wont be friggen walking for a very long time.
Plus they will be digging deep into their pockets and bank account.

And 'shafties can't wheelie, cos of physics' is just an old running joke on uk.rec.motorcycles that I parrot occasionally for my own private amusement...

I saw some teenage kids on my bike once, when it was the dangerous Military GN model, and I was in a BAD mood already, ready to slay anyone who looked at me wrong. This was in the middle of Wellington at the bike park by the library,

I was in my black leather riding jacket and boots, I had just newly shaved my head, and as I strode towards them I shouted in my best vicious skinhead voice "OI YOU, GET THE FUCK OFF MY BIKE."
    They left quite quickly.
and heaps of people looked around, startled.
It's convenient to look like a dangerous nazi loon sometimes. hehe, if only they knew i was actually a tofu-eating, green-voting leftie liberal.

Yeah it's not the cost of your ride it's the respect of asking and you being able to have control of your own stuff.

I let kids that ask sit on my bike but I don't really care if it's dirtied up or not,

For riders that want a test ride I would assume that they will swap for a ride and "The Rules" apply.
I'm selling my new riding gear!! Only worn a few times get a deal Kiwibikers!!

I used to park my bike outside the westfield downtown mall.

The number of times Ive gone out for a smoko and some cunt is stood there casually leaning against was ridiculous.

Ive caught a lot of people standing next to it having their photo taking, thats ok.

I occaisionally let children jump on it for photos too.

In the end someone from HSBC and someone from the public complained saying it being parked there was a hazard to the public (tucked away in a corner), I was like WTF?! the public are a fucking hazard to my bike!

Yeah, but that's a completely different scenario - he had a genuine question, and took an interest and you offered as opposed to making an assumptions that you'd be fine with it. And you'd also had time to assess his fuckwittedness and level of sobriety.

Lighten up? I can't be assed with deadbeats expecting to be allowed to do what they want with other peoples posessions. Admire from a distance - that's fine but risking knocking it over causing expensive repairs - they're either not thinking or inconsiderate cunts. Perhaps both.

And mine being black it's a mongrel to keep clean as it is - the most anoying thing is greasy streaks on the tank.

Don't fucking trust anyone near my bike. Last time I had my helmet on the helmet lock some fucking homie cut it off and stole it. No strap renders the thing fucking useless but at least they now have a prize to show off to the homie breeders so they get laid on the spot. What's more I've noticed scatches appearing on my tank when leaving it outside of school. That was the last nicely painted thing on the bike and some morons that feel compelled to sit on it have ruined it.

I've often though about getting some sort of taser system linked up to all metal surfaces on the bike to immediately paralyse any fucker that touches it. And I'll need some other system to text me so I can get to the bike before the bastard regains conciousness. I'll only go that far once I get a derego'd and blacked out '05 ZX10R (with race slicks) though.

I dont like kids full stop ,
dont go to a supermarket very often unless have to ,
dont buy anything at a supermarket that is at kids hands height,
think kids should be on those retractable leads like dogs have ive seen them with the harness on .....looks the best thing to me.
And as for the whole restraunt thing "maccas and kfc "thats where they belong i dont eat in either.

they would get a kick in the shins if they touched my bike ,

Wouldnt mind if asked, if someone wanted to sit on the bike
and then id expect to be on a ride with a group anyways .

So that would mean no kids around anyways .
They may be a TOY but there not a TOY if you get the meaning.
And then theres the risk if they touch it ,it falls over ........Then What !

I dont even let someone else fill it up at the garage....Thats mainly cause they dont fill it up correctly .

So if this slightly offends anyone that has kids ...sorry
    But it shouldnt happen
I hope no one has had damage to there bike because of kids!
