I beleive most of the OMCC events are free for spectators as well , but I didn't join the OMCC for racing but rather the social riding so I can't really commant

Would be good to get more riders to come along for some tiki tours maybe also organise a few more club rides that every one is welcome to join in as well...

will be staying at the Pub, or camping ground,[your choice]

    Taieri Mouth Rd

Went to a meeting last night at Taieri Mouth - only 3.9km unsealed now but still lots of loose stuff on top of much of the sealed sections.

Not yet but I'm prodding the appropriate spots. Realistically an "official" opening probably won't happen until Feb, possibly late Jan (unlikely), to give organisers a chance to contact the groups they want there, organise supporting events etc

Anyone interested in testing their limits a bit with this? (note my post about joining them at Fox/Franz rather than starting in ChCh)

I like your night before idea. Either that or convince the others to make it a 2-day job. Then we can all sit around somewhere (pub...) chat, tell really tall stories about anything and everything. I love the whole ride thing but that long a trip and I think you lose too much of the getting together thing. Almost defeats the purpose of riding as a group.

    my 2cents (although more like a $1)

Thats kinda the point... testing your endurance, not stopping every 30 mins for 1 hour coffee breaks
Both styles of groups/riding have their place.
