The idiocy might never die, but the ignore functions work wonders if you use them for awhile. Brings back sanity.. until of course someone says something stupid or quotes you the wrong way.

We make the 26th something semi xmas themed?

CK have a test run tomorrow - "Santa Run" if you'd like to come along. Send me a PM. Just a small group doing a Xmas themed ride (see my avatar). Hopefully will do the same next year and make it similar to the Chomdelay Childrens Home Run. Others can PM me as well, will be a person by person basis for this year as it's to be casual.

Of course I'll probably end up the only one christmased up.. friggen wusses.

LOL, she/he will say when ready... but the way I see it what ever she/he did do after the highside (if I read the txts corect) was handled well as no serious injurys but $3500 to fix the bike aint a nice feeling

You guys wanna know more about my accident.

    Goes like this:

Overtook a car going down hill towards a corner. Heaps of clear space and got around easily. Speed got a bit high but not licence loosing, so was all good there.

Started braking for the corner really early. Used a bit to much rear brake and it locked up. No problems here, the rear stays in a straight line so long as you dont do anything stupid like lean the bike sideways.

Got to the point where I needed to start cornering so I eased off the rear brake (you could see where my skid mark stopped) and I started wondering why I wasnt cornering. By this time I wasnt going very fast at all.

Saw myself go over the center line. Tonnes of front and heaps more rear. Rear locks again and the skid mark goes off the side of the road between a marker and a tree and I gracefully take the corner on the off the wrong side of the road and end up watching the other bikers pass me with confused looks on their faces.

Didnt fall off, didnt hurt myself. Hell didnt really do any real damage to the bike. A branch collected a mirror but thats cheap enough to replace. It broke of cleanly and didnt rark up the fairing.

The reason why I didnt take the corner was because I was looking where I didnt want to go. I got so hung up on the other side of the road so that was where I went.

Target fixation is a bitch and now that I have had a good healthy dose of it (this is the first time Ive ever experienced something like that) I will be wiser to it in the future.

Also must do more emergency braking practice. I probably should have been able to avoid going off the road just by braking in a straight line by using more front brake. I just didnt feel comfitable doing it at the time.

Dude less of the name calling. Keep it civilised.

Most of the guys here are just skipping right over your posts because they cant bare to read another post where you insult the majority of riders that go on this ride.

Just remember you catch more flies with honey.

As for being on to it. I for one am always trying to figure out why things happen. Especially things where I end up off the road. If I can figure it out all well and good. If I cant I just ask someone.

I just wish Transalper was behind me with his camera turned on. I was quite disappointed really that he wasnt lol.

Im not taking offence to anything you have said nor did I mean to offend you, just pointing out that the gnorant wanabes comment wasnt needed.

I probably should have worded it better. I think everyone is getting sick of this thread being fouled up by arguing. I know I am. Personally I would rather see all this stuff be taken to the PM system rather than out in the open.
