Out of curiosity I took a look at the plates site.

Apart from the 5 character limit they don't say much about motorcycle plates... the order form and "design your plate" pages don't have (for example) an "I need a motorcycle-sized plate") check-box.

Anyone here ever bought a plate for their bike? What's the deal?

(Costs the same as ordering a belly-pan and hugger from Ermax, so not first on my shopping list...)
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.

    five digits

were only allowed upto five digits on bike plates six on cars, i have REBBL on my chev van and REBL on my fatboy, problem with bike plates there made the same size as car plates and you have to either cut them down or make your own and thats what i had to do for my custom sidemount on the clutch houseing.
ride for freedom, ride safe, ride for me, and all the other bikers no longer able to ride

you dont obviously have to have 5 or 6 letters for a car or bike
must be able to have less as well just not more

Ive seen cars with only 3 and 4 letters on them

    nothing else with them

And i dont see why anyone would want to throw away about $500 on a plate just to have it personalised

    Its just a rego tag

Like mag wheels on a car ...when you drive you dont even get to see them

Probably because it doesn't fit on a bike plate mate. I looked at that a while back but thought it would look gay on the car.

SKUNK was sold years ago and has never been registered to a vehicle. It was sold before they kept records of who purchased it so I've never been able to track it.

    Bugger it...
