an old gem i loved growing up (had the LP back in the days) that noone has ever seemed to have heard of.
Tubular Bells - by Mike Oldfield
wasnt so much a fan of the title track (which took an entire side of the LP), but the songs on the other side were great. Standouts would have to be "Shadow on the wall" and "Moonlight shadow"
or maybe i just hang around too many young folk with no taste in music

But some that I have and you might never have heard:

As I went rummaging through the pile of "Not played all the time" stuff, and memories came flooding back when I saw the covers of ........., Uriah Heep ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_H3IR6XBRI ), ....... and many more, there was a few that I considered would fit the criteria (well, not the "Albums I have never heard" one, but...

Tubular Bells - by Mike Oldfield........
You chappies are just showing your ages......Uriah Heep & Mike Oldfield were both on the Top Twenty in their time, and with Gary Thain from UH being a Kiwi boy....I'd say these were only 'Never Heard' by the younger 250cc riders anoungst us.

Manassas (Stephen Stills post CSN&Y - band and album), on the other hand, would probably be on more peoples Never Heard lists. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UZ2Q...eature=related - Clip shows the Dble Album cover)

I've given up, especially after Conquey listed a bunch of top 40 artists.

Showing my age? erm, hate to burst your bubble but i AM one of those young 250 riders :-p
i just grew up listening to my old mans music is all, have a great appreciation for classics. guess it's just the crowd i hang around with has never heard of them, makes them feel like oddities.

U misundersood this: Uriah Heep was not in the list. (Read again) I just mentioned them as bands that are in the pile of "not played for a looong time". The ones I considered albums that perhaps not all would have heard about started under that in my list.

But even then, one of the ones I did not include in the list, but mentioned together with UH, I am sure you would NEVER have heard about Sleepy Sleepers (Check their vid "Too Drunk To Drive" that was attached)

33% of the entries in post #44 are far to well known to fit the "never heard of" provisio of this thread.

    Celldweller - Celldweller

A fantastic album if you like your music a little heavier. It's an unusual mix of dance with metal that works very, very well. The dude does the entire album himself - vocals & all instruments and, despite being recorded it in his basement (hence the name being a contraction of Cellar Dweller) it's a 100% professional effort. The artist is a guy by the name of Klayton.

Contact me if you can't find anywhere to source the album.
