Im gonna start bucket racing my A100 as soon as I can. I really want to start racing in Street Stock this year but actually need to be able to afford a bike first! I figure bucket racing will be a great way to start learning about racing while having a blast! The guy's in Wellys are awesome and I already have the bike
Im really excited about this year but dont think I can realistically afford to race and have a road bike, although my partner races his RG and its road registered so who knows. Bring on 2008!!!!

    Guess I'll start in clubmans
Would like to think I'd get in the top 3's at some point.
Can't not have a go then regret it later.

Hardest thing so far is trying to get hold of PMCC to bloody join, may have to go with VMCC.
I think I read that you do 1:40 at Taupo, which will be too fast for Clubmans. Just go to Superbike.

PMCC are a nice old bunch but you'll have less headaches if you join up to Vic Club.

The most reliable one, Nick...which is probably going to be hard to pick.

A respectable model (ZXR, CBR, VFR) in relatively standard tune would be my pick.

This yea i've managed to find someone who will sponsor me a little into starting some racing. (Five Star Suzuki)
After many hard hours in preparation i finally got my RG150 run in after its seizure and ready for the Taupo Spectacular, the day went well and i finish second overall for the day (missed out on first by half a wheel!! hehe) so finished with two second places and one first place. I'm pretty happy with that for my first race on the bike It's running pretty sweet and im looking forward to getting the VMCC winter series underway and anything else i can get myself enough coin to get entered into

I cant upload photo's twice so here's a link to some of the pics of the bike from the spectacular:

So its not compulsory to start in clubmans?
It's the aggressive racing part that'll be the hardest thing to adjust to,done alot of track days but have always been happy to wait instead of carving ppl up or being carved up.
    Can't wait!!......................but secretly shitting myself

Thanks There was some mutterings that i was too close to the other bike coming over the crest and forced him out, but like he said i gave him room and he just lost the front trying to cut back in on me

im stoked that i finally have some nice pics after the few track days i've done on my old 250.
Hopefully now that i have some good results for Fivestar they might be even more generous toward me But sorry i dont think they'd sponsor a honda, i mean who would?

No, at least at vicclub it isn't.

But my opinion is don't do your first race in F1.

You almost certainly will take some time to adjust to the racing thing, as it is quite different to just going around a track at a good pace.

My pick would be that with your pace on that bike you'll probably be too far out front in Clubmans to learn much.

I suppose that you can always enter in to Clubmans if you think that the nerves will get to you, and then if you win first time out just jump on to the back of the F1 grid for the rest of the day. The clubs should be sweet about this.

Now your only challenge is sleeping the night before your first meet
