The Mason-Dixon line has its origins as a name of the boundary between the "free" and "slave" states of what is now known as the United States of America. Subsequently this term has been used to describe the philosophical differences that divide the conservative southern states from their more liberal cousins. Concepts like homosexual relationships (irrespective of gender) are too much for many red-necked southerners to cope with, and the thought of two lesbians (irrespective of their total combined weight) leaping from aircraft whilst locked together may cause them to have some sort of mental infarction. It is more than certain that some of these states have laws preventing such practices.
