Oh by the way, tell me guys, how many chicks like me know about this stuff? Im curious to know....

Most of my biker chick mates have no idea what tools are in a workshop even just the basics like socket set, rachet, alan keys, metric and imperial bolts etc.....and when this happens on their bikes they think it ruins the performance of the engines some how!

I have no idea of the costs, I've never had to buy some myself (thats foremans job). Try your local trade supplier. They usally come in a set of different sizes.

Doctors cost too much? Only if you're sick. Not if you have an accident.

Dude go to the hostipal and tell them "I crashed my motorcycle and I think my ankle is broken. It really hurts here.." and pont to where it hurts.

Won't cost a cent thanks to your friendly ACC system. Might as well get back some of your rego

If you go to a normal dr then yes they might charge a "part charge" of around $20 to cover the bit ACC doesn't cover.

What he said Dude...Get yourself to a friggan hospital Now....It will cost more if you have to do reconstruction surgery later on in life.......Lots Lots more.

Btw if you do have a broken ankle I would say that due to Pain , it would be very very hard for you to stand on it....Even Sprained ankles are extremely painful.

Anyhoot for a professional opinion , only a doctor can make this call....GO henceforth and visit your local morgue...I mean Hospital.

ok, so ill go to the doc when i hav time ^^, anywhoo does anyone have a easy out tool and a set to re thread things that lives in the hamilton area... just need to use em to rethread the socket for the gear shaft and to get the bar end out... pm me if you do

Yes an easy out was my first choice too,but will only work with a solid bar and not a hollow one (tends to expand the hollow tube and lock it in .).Does the bike have solid bars? Also make sure you use the correct size drill with the correct size easy out.Be gentle because if if you snap off the easy out tip it will be a bugger to get it out.

Drills don't work so well on hardened steel tips.

Doing it in the manner you have suggested can easily go wrong.
The best way to do it is to drill a hole in the center of the bit you wish to remove. Then insert an easy-out (extremly course left hand thread). Turn the easy-out anti clockwise and the remaining part of the handlebars should unscrew.
Important - Be very gentle. Don't apply to much pressure unless you want the easy-out to snap.

its a solid bar and ive seen alot of people say that the trick is to be gentle

as for the drill well i only have a small dremmel tool ^^ going to have to borrow both the drill and easy out

Well it seems im having a bad streak of luck... i went to take some pictures today to post on here and ended out droping the camera, so now it dosent go... and now the missus is angry because i broke the $7000 bike and now her $500 camera just when we bought a house
