OK, so Rossi and Lorenzo and Pedrobot weren't there, but the dude may surprise a few this yeah!Apparently the team are very impressed with his race pace and high work ethic, its looking good for him! (Well, better at tracks he's been to before anyway)
OK, I know Val wasn't at PI, but with Stoner finishing up one sec faster than Hayden, the next fastest, are we going to have another processional 2009 MotoGP season - like 2008?![]()

It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
Don't agree.
Stoner is NOT boring. The racing was boring (although it was rivetingly exciting compared with F1!) but Stoner just did the business in an efficient, if unspectacular manner to win the MotoGP Championship - the job he's employed to do.
It wasn't his fault the rest could not match him in '07.
Remember he is the same guy who crashed his way round the 2006 circuits on the LCR.

In the end Stoner didn't just win the title he massacred it – winning an amazing ten races and finishing 125 points clear of the field…that's five race wins! His sulking opponents had their weasel-like faces pounded into the quagmire and then shampoo squirted in their eyes by the young Aussie. They tried to claim it was his bike and his tyres that won him the title…carefully overlooking Capirossi's results and the fact Michelin riders finished second and third.
Casey was simply the best rider by a very long margin. Get over it.

I was refering to his personality, well the one you see on television any way![]()
F1 last year was actually a bit of a nail biterc'mon, 1 point between 1st and 2nd in the championship, good stuff seeing Kimi come from behind in the points to pip that little upstart at the post
Particularly when most of the press (british anyway) had all but written him off.
I truely think it was more a point of none of the manufacters could match Ducati but I don't for a second think Stoner does'nt deserve the championship because he does, just because he's boring does'nt mean he does'nt deserve to win. He did the business, rode the Ducati better than anyone else and he IS a great talent but it was made alot easier for him by the FACT that Ducati had it right from the start and so did Bridgestone, it was far more interesting watching Rossi push his bike and tyres to the max trying to overcome the speed advantage of the Ducati earlier in the season with the handling (Yamaha) and riding advantage (Rossi) he had.
If the bikes are closer in terms of speed I really think you'll see some holes start to appear in Stoners riding too (naturally when you push to 100%).
