To whoever owns one, take good care of the chrome. I've yet to see a second hand one that looks any good.

In that case I think you might be better off looking for something second-hand. And Scorpios haven't been on the market long, so there aren't any good-value examples around. You might have to settle for a GN250 .

Make sure you leave enough money to buy yourself decent protective gear.

There's lots of advice on buying your first bike on this site.
as for protective gear, i've got all that already, boots, gloves, helmet, jacket and just waiting for my pants to come in as i ordered them a little while ago.

I got my helmet and gloves and jacket last year already coz i pillion a hell of a lot and the boots and pants were a birthday gift this year.

    so i'm sorted with that.

I don't really like GN's ... they're good bikes for some.. but I would really rather not buy just according to price. I'm willing to save up to get something that I will like.

I'm also getting used to the riding position on the CBR, can even find the pegs now without struggling lol. (damned awkwardly far back pegs!) but I still don't really like the bike.. far to heavy for me.

true, well i can check it out. no harm in going to have a look at one of those too. I have a huge list of bikes I wanna have a look at now.

    Scorpio is an amazing bike.

They are good in all ways (except poor at overtaking cars at 100kph)

    Thats about it lol

You're referring to Scorpios? No deterioration on mine @ 4 months, but I am little worried about the durability of the finish.

Get some chrome polish to protect it from pitting and such. A lot of boi racers don't do that to their mags and they loose their sheen pretty quick too.

Best of luck with your bike search, anyway.
