Well I'm wetter than an otter in a washing machine.
That was character building....and cold....and disgusting.
Good weekend eh?
In space, no one can smell your fart.
I had a great time at the March hare, went down friday night, so I missed the rain going down, there was a reasonable crowd there with our crew numbering about 10 at that stage.
The rain tried to dampen things down a bit on saturday with other members of our group arriving after a wet ride, we swelled to about 25 tents by evening and a great night was had by all, fortunalty we camped beside a hay shed so were in a dryer position than the other 2000 odd damp souls in the padock!
I rode home today, leaving as early as I could get packed, missing all the rain, wind and traffic arriving here in greta valley at mid day. Sweet run and the bike went well, so I had a 3 hr sleep to get the head a bit clearer and now I see outside the southerly has returned with a vengence, Wet winds and cold.
I feel for those riders doing long trips home today still feeling a bit seedy after last nights partying. Hope they have good wet weather gear.
All in all a really good time and are looking forward to the Hororata bike fest in three weeks
No story on what happend?
I'll leave that to the others,
Just to say................I will be back!

A great flick there and a good one back. Dry and all. Tent went up well after getting the damn pegs in. Hard ground or what???
Same spot as last year, which was great with the shelter should drips fall, which they indeed did.
Did not seem to be as many as last year, though peep's do tend to get put off by forcasts.
Entertainment was good, both from the band, and the inhouse KB ramblings.
T-shirts were great....or are they better when they are not?
All the eating (yummy whitebait) and not sure about the wallaby pie?? they need a cert' of authenticity, tasted like any other pie I have had, then all the walking, me feet were feeling mighty weary, laying out on the straw bails was a relief, but that soon lead to an early entry to ones tent for a sleep.
Sunny awakinings, and pack and off and out back the way we came, for a clear haul up the inland scenic route, the Raikia Gorge was a little tamed due to some fella riden on the right side of the road most the way up, straight through all the corners in a go slow.
Home with the rain bouncin on the roof, and the first time we have fired up the fire.
Now will dash to the Hororata in a couple of weeks, and me-ander to the Off The Rails next Month.
Anyone know anything about the Mokihinui Rally this year????
Did not click the shutter to much this weekend.
NIce to see ya's all.
Cheers
Yup I going to this one
