I do that BD, quite regularly (well, not the crossing the road thing, I rarely see that, but the carrying things all the time). Give up my seat on the train, the whole nine yards.

......No, what I'm saying (well, trying badly to say) is that if he was injured by her (physically ridden into, which hurts a lot) and he'd only pushed her and her bike (in one movement), that is understandable. Not excusable. It's that half a second of anger when you get hurt. It's that instinct to lash out quickly (probably rooted in fight-or-flight response) that I'm talking about. I know most people can control the physical lashing out, but for whatever reason, he couldn't.

i was crossing an intersection in perth, with the lights and a great many other pedestrians, a few years ago when one of these lycra-clad, skinny-buttocked, self-righteous hoons came barrelling through, against the lights, scattering young and old alike and telling people to 'get out of the bloody way' when they complained ....... i shoved my umberella thru his spokes ....
