I've been with maxnet for 10 yrs service is tops and their net guardian keeps us safe.
We use their broadband at the shop though still have dail up at home, this keeps the kids off the net as its too slow for gaming.
Well worth the time checking them out

telstra clear
we find it good
pay for what you use to some degree "Gb" 2.95 each Gb about 30 a month on top of that
cheap calling
If you want cheap calling just get a head set and download a program called
"voipcheap"
It will give you free calling to a lot of the world
all nz and aussie
some free to mobile as well
Now the program may have changed as i know some have only had a five min call then get cut off
i dont know what it does now
im sure theres other programs similar
You gotta give Actrix a chance to give you a price. They support motorcycle racing by sponsoring the Actrix VMCC Winter Series.![]()
Will look in to the options. Some of them sound interesting.
Your BB and phone provider can be two different things. For the amounts you're talking then I'm guessing the cost of calling will be the major decision. I've saved a fortune on calls by switching to iHug (the diverting calls to my Vodafone for $10 a month is a corker and AFAIK no other provider can offer this). Orcon's service has went downhill IMHO but still better than most. Slingshots has always been $hite. etc etc.
For coverage reasons, you may have to stick with Telecon's moby service. If that's the case then PM me as you can do very clever things to avoid paying for calls to Telecom mobiles.
What sorta PBX are you using?

Yes, I have experienced their voice recognition system. It sucks but here's how you get around it... I'm serious and it works. Try it if you don't believe me.
Have a go talking to her but as soon as it has ANY trouble understanding you, start swearing like a trouper and DON'T hold back. The line will go quiet for a few seconds then it will get transferred to a "real" person...
That's excellent feedback to their system Finn, nah I am serious not taking the piss. Some of those calls might be recorded for purposes of improving their system.
When they hear some grumpy old man swearing away non stop they'll have a good laugh as well. I wonder what everyone will do when all calls start going to Manila![]()
I hear changes are afoot with ADSL2 being firmly on the way. You would think that Auckland would be large enough to justify a highspeed/super reliable cable network (don't know where you are).
I hear and have experienced far better business service from Telstra than from Telecom.
PHEW.....JUST MADE IT............................. UP"
To be perfectly honest mate it would be difficult for these other small ISP's/Telco's to manage such a large account efficiently.
I doubt anyone would do a better job than Telecom, your best bet would be either Vodafone or Telstra but their service isn't all flowery anyway.
I can assure you you'll be back to Telecom after 12 months because you'll be more pissed with other company's service.
If your spend is more than 50k a year than your account should be managed, call that idiot Telecom Account Manager and get on his/her back !
